Teens for Real

In Fall 2015, a group of teenagers founded a program called Teens for Real (T4R). The group creates opportunities for teenagers in Greater Hartford to connect with Real Art Ways.

Introducing “Mess Hall”
We are excited to launch T4R’s studio classroom called Mess Hall. Taking place at Real Art Ways every Friday 3-7 PM during the school year, Mess Hall provides a safe and fun place for students to create art and explore new ideas under the mentorship of professional artists.

To enroll, please submit the attached form either online or in-person at the Real Art Ways cafe (2:30-9 PM). The $25 enrollment fee allows student access for the entire semester and covers all materials. Eligible families may inquire about fee waivers.

Stay tuned for Mess Hall updates at  Teens for Real Facebook page and Teens for Real on Instagram. For more information, contact Lindsey Fyfe at Real Art Ways.

“My favorite thing about Mess Hall is that is encourages students and young people to come together and to try new things. This is one of the only environments I’ve been in that fosters friendships and a positive safe space where anyone is accepted.” – Amina
