Building Manager

Real Art Ways seeks a Building Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position with benefits. The Building Manager will be responsible for operations of a commercial building with 90 tenants located in Hartford.

Responsibilities include: Tenant Relations, Staff and Contractor Supervision,
Oversight of Building Maintenance and Upkeep

Tenant Relations
• Process tenant applications
• Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs
• Interact with Tenants, respond to issues and requests
• Maintain tenant records

• Hire, Schedule, Train and Oversee maintenance staff and contractors; inspect completed jobs
• Monitor building maintenance budgets

Building Maintenance and Upkeep
• Maintain a safe environment, including lighting, signage, accesibility, security and fire prevention
• Ensure work orders and repair requests are processed in a timely manner
• Inspect building regularly for signs of damage or wear
• Keep emergency plans and procedures up to date
Qualifications Include:
• 2+ years experience
• Familiarity with leases
• Good organizational skills; ability to coordinate activities, and prioritize conflicting demands; track record of meeting deadlines
• Flexible work schedule with weekend availability
• Management experience
• Experience with inventory, budgeting
• Experience with Property Management software a plus
• Positive attitude; ability to communicate effectively
• Organized with high standards for quality and attention to detail
• Confidence with tools and facility for small maintenance jobs
