Front of House Supervisor
Real Art Ways, a dynamic and innovative arts organization, seeks a Front of House Supervisor to join our team. This is a part-time (15-20 hours/week) position with potential for more hours.
-Supervise day-to-day operations of the café and cinema
-Assist in training the Front of House staff and enforce operational policies
-Ensure all public areas are clean and tidy, delegating tasks to staff
-Maintain café inventory and coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed
-Control all monies in and out of café, by monitoring daily reconciliation
-Update and interface with Point Of Sale software and keep systems working
-Maintain and service café equipment and appliances
-Monitor activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise
-2-4 years of hospitality/restaurant/movie theater experience, supervisory experience preferred
-Flexible work schedule with open weekend availability
-Passionate about equity and inclusion, and practice those values in their work.
-Proven experience in team leadership
-Experience in growing sales and providing excellent customer service
-Experience managing profit and loss, inventory, budgeting and controllables
-A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
-ServSafe and TIPS certification a plus
-Positive and high energy attitude; ability to communicate effectively with all colleagues
-Works well under pressure; gracefully respond to demand in a fast-paced environment
-Confidence with tools and basic facility and equipment maintenance
-Must be organized with a high standard for quality and attention to detail
-Strong belief in Real Art Ways’ mission
-Self-sufficient, independent thinker and doer
-Creative energy and sense of humor!
