A Circle Has No Beginning by Sameer Gupta featuring Marc Cary

Sameer Gupta will perform tabla and drumset in selections from his tour de force album A Circle Has No Beginning that features a fusion of Indian classical music and jazz. Joining Gupta will be Marc Cary (keys), Jay Gandhi (bansuri), Arun Ramamurthy (carnatic violin), Marika Hughes (cello), Pawan Benjamin (sax), and Rahsaan Carter (bass).

Kaoru Watanabe’s Néo featuring Fumi Tanakadate

Kaoru Watanabe is a Brooklyn based composer and musician, acclaimed for his innovative approach to powerful Japanese drums and the texturally rich melodies of the Japanese flutes. Joined by percussionist Fumi Tanakadate, the duo will play selections from their newly released album Néo.

Jason Treuting and Steve Mackey in Orpheus Unsung

Percussionist and drumset musician Jason Treuting (So Percussion) and electric guitarist Steven Mackey will present their critically lauded album Orpheus Unsung. A wordless opera composed by Mackey, Orpheus Unsung is idiosyncratic, visceral and cathartic.
