Hartford, Connecticut - Let's Go Crazy! Real Art Ways presents Purple Rain: The Experience, an audience sing-a-long to Prince's classic 1984 film debut, with live music from the band DMSR, featuring Jaeme Brennan.

Purple Rain is possibly the most over the top and unintentionally funny rock movie ever made but it is also the vehicle for one of history's greatest pop albums including hits- When Doves Cry, Darling Nikki, Let's Go Crazy, I Would Die 4 U, and more!

Purple Rain tells the story of  "The Kid" (Prince) an aspiring and talented, but troubled Minneapolis musician with a difficult home life. He meets a singer named Apollonia (Apollonia Kotero), and they become involved in a complicated romance while competing with a local band.

Audiences are invited to indulge their guilty pleasure and channel their hottest Appollonia, Morris Day, or of course, Prince himself. Don something lacey and ruffled (or just cover yourself head to toe in purple) and sing-a-along with His Royal Badness at Real Art Ways Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10 PM.

About Jaeme Brennan
Brennan's interest in music developed early, he was born in Hartford and grew up with his father ("Little Axe") and his also accomplished guitarist grandfather. Jaeme Brennan and his band Starchild will release their new album Evolution this November. Brennan formed DMSR from a group of local talent for Purple Rain: The Experience.
