Hartford, Connecticut - Real Art Ways presents three weekends of award-winning animated, live action and experimental short films for children from around the world as part of the New York International Children's Film Festival. All films in the festival are $3 or free for Hartford public school students.

On Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7 at 11 AM Real Art Ways presents Aardman Animations Retrospective. Recommended for ages 6 to adult, this collection of award-winning animated short films encompasses 25 years of creative output from the animators at Aardman Animations, the studio that created Wallace and Gromit.

On Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5, 11 AM, Real Art Ways will show Girl's POV 2010. Recommended for ages 9 to adult, Girl's POV 2010 is a girl-powered collection of animated and live action short films that explore everyday issues for girls: imagination, courage, puberty, love and more.

Real Art Ways will wrap up the film festival on Saturday, January 8 and Sunday, January 9, 11 AM with Kidflix. Curated for the youngest audiences, ages 3 to 8, Kidflix is an an entertaining assortment of short films about fun, family, and friendship from around the world.

ABOUT THE NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
The New York International Film Festival was founded in 1997 to promote intelligent, passionate, provocative cinematic works for ages 3-18 and to help define a more compelling film for kids. NYICFF features a touring festival as well as an annual festival event in New York, which has grown to become the largest film festival for children and teens in North America.
