Hartford, Connecticut – Real Art Ways presents a live performance by chamber-rock quintet Victoire on Saturday, October 9 at 8 PM. This 5-piece ensemble, founded by composer Missy Mazzoli, performs a distinct blend of dreamy post rock, quirky minimalism and rich romanticism.

ABOUT VICTOIRE
Since forming in 2008, Victoire has shared the stage with Tortoise, Twi the Humble Feather, Redhooker and many others, performing at many top venues including New York's Le Poisson Rouge, Galapagos, The Stone, The Whitney Museum, Chicago's Milleneum Park, and the Bang on a Can Marathon. They released their debut EP, A Door Into the Dark, in March 2009. New Amsterdam Records is releasing their first full-length album, Cathedral City, on September 28, 2010.

Victoire founder Missy Mazzoli has been called "one of the more consistently inventive, surprising composers now working in New York" by the New York Times. Her music has been performed throughout the world by renowned ensembles such as the Kronos Quartet, the Minnesota Orchestra, Eighth Blackbird and more.
