Hartford, Connecticut – Real Art Ways goes inside-out and flips expectations upside down at The Odd Ball, a costume ball for all on Saturday, April 10. This year, the Odd Ball is all about twists, flips, and suprises. Tickets go on sale Saturday, February 14. Pricing is above. Looking for a different kind of fundraiser, Real Art Ways created the Odd Ball in 2009. This year's inspirations include graffitti underground and carnival funhouses. The Odd Ball will be filled to the brim with immersive experiences, musical transformations, and innovative delicacies. Low-tech will meet high-tech, the outside will move inside, and the people, in all their costumed glory, will make the party.

We can't give away everything (hence the whole "surprise" element), but here are are a few of the spectacles and suprises in store:

  • The Twisted Buffet - where that cupcake really isn't a cupcake.

  • The "Peep Lounge" - an unconventional peep-show style media installation where the party-goers can see and be seen.

  • Costume parade with the most creatively costumed guests. There will be prizes.

  • The Hookah Tent.

  • Steven Laschever's photo studio.

  • Music - live and DJ.

Costumes are encouraged, but not required. All proceeds from Odd Ball ticket sales will support Real Art Ways' programming.
