Everybody lies. Tell us one of yours at WINCE: Liar Liar

Hartford, Connecticut – Real Art Ways encourages you to air your dirty laundry in public with WINCE, an open mic series featuring YOUR relics of embarrassment. This time, the theme is "Liar Liar." Participants will share stories about a lie, and the consequences of that lie (or, make something up). WINCE: Liar Liar is on Saturday, October 3 at 8 PM. It's free for members and readers, and $5 for everyone else. Real Art Ways is located at 56 Arbor Street in Hartford's Parkville neighborhood. WINCE
WINCE began last April as an experiment in collective humiliation. The theme was adolescence. Participants played songs from their high school band's albums, told hilarious and mortifying stories, read from diaries (paper and electronic), and found other relics from their past to share in public.

This installment of WINCE is all about lying. Everyone's done it, for good or for evil (or for a mix of both). Readers are encouraged to talk about a time they've lied, and the consequences of doing so. As always, diaries, music, photos, etc., are welcome.

WINCE believes that everyone is a storyteller, and is open to everyone. Readers should arrive by 8 PM and sign up for slot. Prizes! Humiliation! Laughs! Lies!

Future WINCES
Following "Liar Liar," The next WINCE will be Saturday, December 5, at 8 PM. The theme is "Everything's Relative," featuring stories about families just in time for the holiday season.
