Writers and Readers to Gather
at Real Art Ways

Featured Guests: author Wally Lamb, author Nancy Aronie, poet Glaisma Pérez-Silva

Hartford, CT: October 27, 2005— On Thursday, November 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Real Art Ways will kick off its new Writers and Readers series with readings from and conversation with three writers from Connecticut. Nancy Aronie, who many local readers know from her work with The Hartford Courant’s Northeast Magazine, as a commentator on National Public Radio, her inspirational writing classes and her book, Writing from the Heart, returns to Hartford to join Wally Lamb, teacher and critically acclaimed author of the best selling novels I Know This Much is True and She’s Come Undone, and Glaisma Pérez-Silva, poet and performing artist, known for her popular creative writing classes for bi-lingual adults and children. This is a free event.

The evening’s theme will tie in with Real Art Ways “Faith” exhibition, with each writer addressing the idea of belief and faith in their own unpredictable ways. Readings by each will be followed by an informal discussion and a chance to visit with others in the area who are interested in reading, writing and thinking.

Writers and Readers will be a bi-monthly social gathering on first Thursdays for people who love books. Each evening will have a theme or event (such as poetry, storytelling, multiple author readings, etc.), and will include plenty of time before and after for casual conversation over cups of coffee or glasses of wine.

The next Writers and Readers event will take place on Thursday, January 5, 2006.
