Real Art Ways was founded 33 years ago by a group of artists who wanted  somewhere to exhibit their work, to put on a show - and a community to give it context.

Evolving from a funky "alternative space" that drew most of its funding from government sources, into a financially diversified organization, has not been a simple matter. We have grown, and evolved, with the help of our friends.

More than ever, members are the foundation of Real Art Ways. We now have more than 1200 households who contribute to Real Art Ways annually. Thanks to all of them, Real Art Ways is a special organization, with a unique mix of programming.

With our cinema, exhibition spaces, performing arts events, educational programs, and social events, Real Art Ways is an organization driven by a commitment to artists, to community, and to creativity.
