Teens for Real

The Greater Hartford Arts Council’s Neighborhood Studios develops emerging artists and teaches teens the value of creativity and fundamental career skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce.

Spend your summer at Real Art Ways developing a creative film project!

Our six-week Eye on Video program is an unparalleled opportunity for youths between the ages of 14-19 to learn the art of filmmaking under the guidance of a Master Teaching Artist. Eye on Video’s student-focused curriculum includes professional camera and computer operation, digital video production, editing with Final Cut Pro, storytelling and composition, and an emphasis on career preparedness.

Students earn a weekly stipend while honing critical and creative thinking!

Candidates must live in one of the 34 towns served by the Greater Hartford Arts Council, and must be available for all weekday classes from June – August.
