Conversation with Pepón Osorio
Wadsworth Atheneum

Organized by Real Art Ways in 1994, Pepón Osorio's En la barbería no se llora transformed a vacant store at 481 Park Street into an installation based on the traditional Puerto Rican barbershop. En la barbería no se llora and its impact on Hartford will be the subject of a discussion at the Wadsworth Atheneum. The panelists include Real Art Ways Executive Director Will K. Wilkins, city councilman Luis Cotto (who worked for Real Art Ways at the time and staffed the project in the summer of 1994) and curator Andrea Miller-Keller.

This is presented in conjunction with the Wadsworth's exhibition Connections Gallery: Pepón Osorio.
