Trombone player Dave Smith formed The Perfect Man to create sexy, sinister, spaced-out love songs played with electronic trombone. Inspired by Sun Ra's ballads, Miles Davis' Get Up With It, and groovy exotica, The Perfect Man combines slinky rhythms and freaky sounds with tender and mysterious melodies featuring some of the most soulful and creative musicians in New York. Members of the band also play with Burnt Sugar, Youngblood Brass Band, Chin Chin, and the Peter Evans Quartet, to name a few.
