The arts aren't recession-proof. The most recent downturn has already closed the Connecticut Opera. Corporate and individual donations are down, endowments have shrunk, and some have called for the government to help keep arts organizations thriving. But should the government be in the business of funding artistic expression? John Dankosky moderates.
