Real Ride hARTford
A fancy dress party...for your bike.
Saturday, June 19 | 7:30 PM | FREE
Art up your bike and throw on some lights for a night ride through our neighborhood, Parkville. The one-hour guided bike tour, with a DJ on wheels, leaves from and returns to Real Art Ways. The outdoor cafe and bar will be open, providing water and serving other, less hydrating beverages.
Schedule and Route:
[map of the route]
7:30 - 8:30 PM: Missed Anne Cubberly's bike decorating workshop during June's Creative Cocktail Hour? No problem! We'll have materials on hand for your bike.

First Stop: Ride by the Art For AIDS fundraiser at Artspace. Stop at Artspace for 10 minutes (we'll be hanging out outside; no ticket necessary).
Second Stop: Stop at Billings Forge's Summer Solstice Celebration. Billings Forge's artist-in-residence Ted Efremoff and his Bread Cycle Works project are holding a free interactive performance in the Garden @ Billings Forge. Stop will last about 10 minutes.
Third Stop: West Hartford Center & Blue Back Square, via Parkville.
NOTE: We'll take Park Street to West Hartford, so those who would like a shorter ride may turn right on Orange Street and head back to the Real Art Ways lot, where the outside bar will be ready and waiting.
9:30 PM (approx): Return to Real Art Ways from Blue Back Square via the West End
Real Thirsty? All summer long, we'll provide a free bottle of water to anyone who bikes to one of our events.
