Work by Kehinde Wiley, who just completed a summer residency at the Studio Museum in Harlem. A rich symbiosis of street culture and art historical self-consciousness, Wiley’s work harnesses elements of Titian and Gainsborough and puts them to work in framing his portraits of contemporary African American men. Wiley’s paintings will be the first shown in the newly-constructed Real Room.
