Spring
2003
Overview
Who are you? Where are you? What is your world about? Explore
the themes of place, narrative and personal expression by recording
and editing your own audio project in this 10-week workshop.
All student work will become part of the Digital Skills web
site and radio broadcasts. The classroom experience will include
listening sessions, lectures, demonstrations, guest speakers
and individual instruction. Emphasis will be placed on hands-on-work
to develop personal expression and technical excellence.
Program
Requirements
Digital Skills programs require that students have a high level
of motivation and commitment. Students meet for class two days
a week for a two and half hours. An additional five hours per
week will be expected in order to complete course projects.
The audio lab will be available for recording, capturing, sound
manipulation, writing, editing and output sessions between classes.
