School: Hartford High
Desired superpower: super-intelligence - the ability to get straight As
without trying
What do you like best about DAS? The program Pro Tools and working with
the sounds and mixing them. Also my team of students and adults. It was
very fun working with different races and ages also.
Any other comments: This was a very good and fun experience to have. Now
I know how all of the artists out there in the music business do their songs
and mix them. This experience will help me in the future if I decide to
go into mixing or the music business.

Christopher Cameron
Age: 35
Desired superpower: time travel
What do you like best about DAS? Great Kids. We have been blessed with articulate
and creative students who mastered the technical and aesthetic aspects of
production in a remarkably quick period.
Christopher Cameron is a composer of ambient electronic music and a veteran
sound engineer. He is also a photographer and a cinéaste.
Jeff Jacoby
Age: 103 (well, 46.)
Desired superpower: Flying, for sure. I already have super-hearing.
What do you like best about DAS? Easy! Guaso, Efrain, Marilú, Fortunato,
Blanca, and Mike!
Any other comments: I admit that I've been very surprised at the level of
enthusiasm and participation of the kids. Their ability to pick up the skills
with audio gear have been incredible, but the delightful surprise has been
the creativity they've all brought to the workshop.
Jeff Jacoby has directed, produced, and hosted radio, television, film and audio programs since 1975. Among his current projects are radio feature programs for NPR affiliates and commercial stations, including The Traveling Radio Show, an offbeat travelogue, and Big World, a news and commentary program for college students.
